Transarc DC 201i
The Murex Transarc DC201i is a 200 amp manual metal arc welding equipment designed
to operate from a 240V single-phase electricity supply. It uses high efficiency
inverter based technology and is capable of running all types of electrode up
to 5mm diameter. It is constructed in a rugged all metal enclosure and yet is
highly portable weighing some 13kg only.
The unit provides continuous, precise control of welding current from as low
as 5A as well as fully adjustable arc force. In combination with an open circuit
voltage of 90V, the Transarc DC201i is fully suited to pipe welding applications
using difficult cellulosic electrodes, like Nufive and Citoflex
types. Full remote control facilities are provided and an optional remote control
unit and control cables are available.

The DC201i provides 190A at 35% duty and 170A at 60%. It requires a 30A rated
240V supply for full output use, although for many applications a 16A fused
circuit can be used. It provides superb welding performance with all types of
MMA electrodes and can be used for scratch start TIG welding for stainless and
similar applications.
