The GE 15 PSX-EAS (400V/230V) is an ultra quiet, robust generating set designed and manufactured for use in light/ heavy industrial and professional sectors. It is composed of various main parts such as \ PERKINS engine, alternator (self excited, self regulated and brushless), electric and electronic controls, together with a 12V battery and battery charge indicator.
The machine is made of a steel structure on an elastic support which helps damp the vibrations and eliminates sounds when the unit is being operated.
The PERKINS 403C-15G diesel, 4-stroke (indirect injection) engine is highly recommended because of its performance, efficiency and easy maintenance. It also has the advantage of being water cooled. Its output is 13.3kV (17.8 HP) and has a running speed of 1500 rpm. The fuel consumption is 2.85 litres per hour. It has a tank capacity of 60 litres enabling a running time with a 75% load is potentially 21 hours.
All the generators in the MOSA EAS series are uniquely pre-wired to provide a plug-in system enabling the generator to be attached to a EAS Auto Mains Failure Panel. This can be installed to the mains power permitting transfer of power from the mains to the generating set in the event of a power failure. The power is switched back when mains power is reinstated.
All the EEC noise and safety directives are fully observed and with this unit there is an added safety feature of an emergency stop button if there is any sign of danger.
