The GE 55 PS-EAS (400V/230V) is a high quality, heavy duty generating set designed and manufactured for heavy industrial use, construction sites and
professional sectors. It is composed of
various important parts such as a PERKINS engine, alternator -self excited, self regulated and brushless (indicating low
unit maintenance), electric and electronic controls, circuit breaker, together
with a 12V battery and battery charge indicator. The assembling is made of a
steel structure, on which is an elastic support to help reduce
the vibrations and eliminate sounds when the unit is being operated.
The PERKINS (1103A-33TG1) diesel, 4-stroke (indirect
injection) engine comes highly recommended because of the performance,
efficiency and easy maintenance. It also
has the advantage of being water cooled.
Its output is 45.6 kW (62.1hp) / 41.3 kW(56.2hp) and it has a running speed of
1500 rpm. The fuel consumption is 7.2
litres per hour with a tank capacity
of 65 litres enabling a running time with a 75% load of potentially 9 hours.
As with all the generators in the MOSA EAS series this model is uniquely pre-wired
to provide a plug-in system enabling the generator to be attached to a EAS Auto
Mains Failure Panel. This can be
installed to the mains power permitting transfer of power from the mains to the
generating set in the event of a power failure.
The power is switched back when mains power is reinstated.
All the EEC noise and safety directives are fully observed and with this
GE 55 are the added safety features of an emergency stop button and a siren.
