Both the GE 55 and GE 65 PSX-EAS (400V/230V) generating sets are high quality, heavy duty machines designed and manufactured for heavy industrial use, construction sites and
professional sectors. They are composed of
various important parts such as a PERKINS engine, alternator -self excited, self regulated and brushless (indicating low
unit maintenance), electric and electronic controls, circuit breaker, together
with a 12V battery and battery charge indicator. The steel structure is assembled on an elastic support which helps reduce
the vibrations and eliminates sounds when the unit is being operated.
Both sets feature a PERKINS diesel, water cooled engine with a
running speed of 1500 rpm. The GE 55 operates with the 3 cyclinder PERKINS
1103A - 33TG1 model, offering 45.6 kW / 41.3 kW output. In contrast, the
GE 65 uses the PERKINS 1104C - 44TG3 engine, offering 59 kW / 53 kW output.
Both engines have a 102 litre capacity with the GE 55 prudicing a
potential run time of 13 hours compared to 10 hours from the GE 65.
Both GE 55 and GE 65 PXS-EAS models feature in the MOSA EAS series, thus are uniquely pre-wired
to provide a plug-in system enabling the generator to be attached to a EAS Auto
Mains Failure Panel.
This can be
installed to the mains power permitting transfer of power from the mains to the
generating set in the event of a power failure.
The power is switched back when mains power is reinstated.
All the EEC noise and safety directives are fully observed and with the GE 55 and GE 65 are the added safety features of an emergency stop button and a siren.
