MurexTransmig 423 Mig Welder
Electronically microprocessor controlled heavy duty MIG/MAG/MCW/FCW welding equipment
for demanding applications in a wide variety of industries. User segments would
include earth moving equipment, railway rolling stock, structural steelwork, turbine
manufacture, oil rig structures, shipbuilding, hardfacing etc with either solid
or cored wires.
The Transmig 423S and 523S are available for use with either air-cooled MIG torches
or, as "W" versions, with in-built torch water-cooling units for water
cooled MIG torches.
In combination with either the rugged Transmatic Lynx 4EHD or, when working
out to 70 metres from the power source the Suitcase II wire feeder, the new
Transmig 423S and 523S power sources provide superb dip through spray transfer
MIG welding, up to 420A or even 520 A at 60% duty according to model. The microprocessor
based electronic control circuitry in these power sources ensures precise and
consistent welding results and enables the operator to adjust the whole process
from the wire feed unit. With arc voltage being monitored at the torch (not
the power source output!) the TM423S and 523S are able to run with cable lengths
up to 70m without performance degradation. Digital volt/amp metering is standard
on these Transmig's with the useful Last Reading Hold feature. In addition,
to cover the full range of wire types and shielding gases utilisable with these
new machines, both incorporate 3 inductance level settings.
• Microprocessor based, feedback controlled, full wave thyristor control
system. Solid state contactor
• Excellent welding characteristics, DIP through transfer welding modes,
absolute consistency and accuracy
• Continuous voltage control (from the wire feeder), full short circuit
protection
• Interphase reactor and 3 levels of inductance provide optimum arc characteristics
• 423S is rated at 400A at 45% duty (350A 60%), 523S provides 500A at
60% and up
to 400A continuously
• Available as "W" versions with in-built torch water cooling
units
• CE approved, meet EN60974-1 and EN50199 covering the LV and EMC safety
and
directives
