On Torch Welding Extraction
See our range of MIG torch fume extractors for sale. On torch extraction involves replacing a standard MIG torch with a fume extraction torch. The fume extraction MIG torch connects to the welding machine via an industry standard euro connection. A hose is also connected to the torch which connects to a high vacuum filtration system. The fume extractor unit sucks air directly from the nozzle of the MIG torch, vacuuming up welding fumes direct from the source. The fume passes through the vacuum filtration unit, filtering out particulates and expelling clean air back into the environment.
Extraction MIG torches are available in a number of lengths and rated to different amperage’s the same as a standard MIG torch. Torches are available as air cooled or water cooled.
Since the new HSE enforcement published in February 2019, welding fume extraction of some form has been required by all businesses carrying out welding tasks. Irrespective of the amount of welding being carried out, the HSE now expects any business conducting welding indoors to do so with fume extraction. These on torch extraction solutions work by extracting fume direct from the source at the arc and reducing fume from entering the welders breathing area.
TBWS are able to supply a number of fume extraction systems other than those listed. Feel free to call or email us if you cannot see what you require.
